Harry Ransom Center’s Reading Room

There is a ton going on this Saturday 1/24/2015–I def suggest you check out the full line up (here’s the schedule link). But I wanted to highlight some cool stuff happening tomorrow starting at 9:30 AM. The Harry Ransom Center has a HUGE collection of prints and they will be pulling a few special ones from their archives for up close inspection during this PrintAustin event. Their reading room is upstairs on the second floor and while on your way up, check out Frida’s painting near the guard desk. It’s leaving town the end of Feb I think. Also, take a peek at the Gutenberg Bible right past the guard station. We printers owe a lot to Johannes Gensfleisch zur Laden Gutenberg.
