January 15
Landmarks, the public art program at UT, will host printmaker, filmmaker, and musician, Jay Bolotin. A reception will follow a performance and screening of his animated film made from 40 woodcuts.
Bolotin won Best Animation at the 2007 Santa Fe Film Festival for his woodcut motion picture “The Jackleg Testament Part I: The Story of Jack & Eve.” The film is featured in the Landmarks Video 2014-15 season.
Time: screening from 5:30-6:30 pm followed by Q&A and reception

Peregine Press: A Texas Legacy
Flatbed will exhibit over 40 landmark works from Peregrine. Peregrine Press operated from 1981 until 1991 in Dallas. Texas’s first fine art press, Peregrine actively collaborated with most of the major Texas artists at that time along with New York artist, Jean-Michel Basquait. Artists include John Alexander, Eric Avery, Ed Blackburn, Linda Blackbun, Otis Dozier, Joseph Glasco, Robert Levers, James Malone, Jack Mims, Dan Rizzie, Andrea Rosenberg, Al Souza, Frank X Tolbert2 and more.
