Event Description

“Condolences” is an exhibition of  platitudes hand rendered and reduced to letterforms, shapes, and lines that collide and comingle. Juan Garcia is an inter-disciplinary artist who is dedicated to the expression of ideas through various formats. Currently his work is made material through prints and drawings. Garcia graduated from Texas State University with a BFA in studio art and a focus on drawing and printmaking. He went on to earn his MFA in printmaking from The Rhode Island School of Design where his interests expanded into installation, film and animation. Garcia’s work revolves around themes of place and home, the fragility of each and the chaos following their collapse. This is an ongoing exhibit.
